On Friday 1 December, Sean Sherwood visited RSFC to talk to students about the importance of a positive mindset and mental resilience.

Sean is an experienced Pastoral & Safeguarding professional with over 14 years of experience in Education. His journey began as a Teaching Assistant in SEND, where he provided dedicated support to students with diverse learning needs. From there, he excelled as an Inclusion Manager, leading Behaviour Support initiatives for four years. Sean's passion for student wellbeing led him to become a Pastoral Head of Year, where he focused on removing barriers to learning and fostering a nurturing environment.

With extensive frontline experience in complex and challenging educational settings, Sean has developed a deep understanding of the intricacies and battles faced daily. His unwavering commitment to students' holistic development sets him apart. Sean's most important attribute lies in his ability to combine the removal of barriers to learning with the support of young people's wellbeing.

As a keynote speaker, Sean captivates audiences with his passion, authenticity, and wealth of real-world experiences. He seamlessly blends his expertise in pastoral care and safeguarding with engaging storytelling, providing practical advice and evidence-based solutions. Sean's presentations inspire and empower educators, administrators, and policymakers to create safe, inclusive, and thriving learning environments.

Sean was a contestant on 'SAS Who Dares Wins', he shared his life journey to that point and then how his experiences on the show impact his mindset now.
