Widening Participation Event 2023

On November 3, Rochdale Sixth Form College hosted a Widening Participation and University Fair.

We had 14 universities join us to talk about their widening participation programme that helps more students go to university and share information about the different courses they offer. Our students had the chance to talk to these universities about their courses and the programmes that can help them. This event was a great opportunity for students to talk about their future plans and get excited about exploring new possibilities.

One of our staff members said, "It was fantastic to be part of such a lively and positive event on Friday. The students had great conversations with the universities and are already thinking about what they might do next year. I hope this inspires many students to aim high!"

Student, Alison Ogunmwenkha commented, "I am really grateful for the opportunity to attend the university fair because I learnt more about universities I had not heard of or even considered in the past which now I find myself interested in alongside the programmes they provide!"
