BTEC Business trip to Chester Zoo 2023

Recently BTEC Business students visited Chester Zoo. During their visit, they were given a lecture about business organisational structure and functional areas, which proved to be highly beneficial.

The excursion provided a unique opportunity for students to explore the intricacies of how a large organisation like a zoo operates. They were able to observe the zoo's organisational structure in action, gaining valuable insights into the various roles and responsibilities within different departments, thus applying their theoretical knowledge to a real-world context which they will use in assignment 1.1. Moreover, by examining the zoo's functional areas, including marketing, finance, and operations, students were able to appreciate the diverse career opportunities available and the importance of cross-functional collaboration.

Overall, this trip made learning engaging and significantly enhanced the students' understanding of business concepts through practical experience.
