From 10th to 13th June, a group of 16 participated in the Duke of Edinburgh expedition. This four-day adventure took place in the scenic Howgill Fells, where the students faced demanding conditions such as high temperatures and abundant sunshine. Despite these challenges, the students showcased unwavering determination and remarkable teamwork, successfully completing the expedition while fostering a strong sense of camaraderie.

An integral aspect of the Duke of Edinburgh expedition is the emphasis on teamwork and collaboration. The students worked seamlessly in their teams, navigating the designated routes with precision and cooperation. Hannah Curran, one of the participants commented: "I love my teammates so much and can't wait to go camping with them again!" This sentiment is a testament to the strong bonds forged during their shared experience.

Andrew Rodgers, trip coordinator, commended the students for their ability to adapt and thrive. Witnessing their resilience and growth, he remarked, "It was fantastic to see the students rise to the challenge of coping with the intense heat and lovely to see the camaraderie that developed between them." The expedition provided an opportunity for the students to gain confidence and develop vital life skills such as problem-solving, decision-making, and effective communication.
