RSFC Psychology students embarked on an educational and enriching trip to London last week. One of the highlights was visiting the Freud Museum, where they explored Sigmund Freud's original London home, complete with authentic artifacts and furniture pivotal to the development of psychoanalysis. As the 'father' of Psychology, Freud's work has strong ties to their curriculum, delving into the psychodynamic approach and specific therapies for various disorders.

In addition to the museum, the students enjoyed visits to St James Park and Buckingham Palace, walking down the iconic Mall. The group also had the privilege of attending a performance of The Lion King at the renowned Lyceum Theatre, offering many students their first-ever experience of live theatre.

Further expanding their knowledge, the students explored the Science Museum, where they examined a range of medical artifacts from the past, including early x-ray and MRI machines, autopsy tables, and captivating artworks and exhibits. These exhibits proved invaluable in enhancing their understanding of genetics and its role in our behaviour. This aspect of their trip seamlessly tied into their studies of biopsychology, covering topics such as OCD, Schizophrenia, and Addiction.

The London trip was an incredible opportunity for students to immerse themselves in real-world applications of their coursework and deepen their understanding of the field.
