2023 Ski Trip to Austria

RSFC took to the slopes again during the February half-term for another successful ski trip to Austria. Conditions were perfect for our beginner and intermediate skiers. All students made exceptional progress each day and developed their technical ski skills. Students are now able to carve their way down the slopes.  

The trip included six days of ski tuition in the popular and picturesque resort of Nassfeld, on the Austrian - Italian border. Students relished the 4 hours of skiing each day and enjoyed the mountain dining experience in the Carinthian Alps. Trip highlights included: Skiing to Italy for their favourite pasta dish; Pizza night at a local restaurant; Quiz & games night; Slalom race day and exploring the local resort. Hezaam Usman, Erik Mcardle and Cameron Oliver-White also completed the ‘residential’ component of their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The skiing was truly an exciting and thrilling experience, especially as I  enjoy adventure sports. The feeling of flying down the slopes and the rush of adrenaline is the highlight of the trip for me. The ski resort was situated in a beautiful and breathtaking mountain location.
