Subject Spotlight - Art

Recently the Art department at RSFC was joined by former student Amy Coaten. Amy studied at RSFC a few years ago, and achieved an A* in Art and Design, she is currently in her second year at Bristol University, studying Fine Art. 

Amy shadowed the department to gain insight into the working methods of teaching and technician work. Amy learned to stretch canvases and helped build parts of the set for the upcoming musical.

As Amy is in her second year at Bristol, she was able to discuss with students the structure and content of what to expect from a degree, alongside showing some of the ceramic works produced on the pottery wheel. Specialising in sculpture, Amy gave one-to-one guidance discussing potential developments in their A level personal investigations.
