York History Trip 2025

A level History students enjoyed a fantastic trip to York and its surrounding areas this week, exploring key sites from their Wars of the Roses unit. Highlights included visits to York Minster, Barley Hall, Towton battlefield, and the castles at Pontefract and Sandal.

Students also walked along the medieval city walls, fully immersing themselves in the rich history of the period—some even purchased replica medieval swords and shields to reenact battle! It was a highly engaging and valuable experience for all who attended.
