University of Manchester's LEAF Programme 2024

On Wednesday, 19 June, MFL students participated in the University of Manchester's LEAF (Languages Education at A level Further) programme. The event took place at the Faculty of Arts, where students attended lectures on the scope of language studies at university, including potential course combinations and options for studying abroad.

They also explored career opportunities in languages and participated in taster sessions for new languages such as Russian, Arabic, and Catalan, alongside cultural lectures highlighting language studies' academic aspects. The students found inspiration in conversations with current university students, leading many to consider pursuing MFL at the university level.
