Last week, a group of 25 students studying BTEC Applied Psychology or A level Psychology students participated in a Psychology Taster Day at Edge Hill University. This immersive experience gave them a glimpse into the diverse array of courses available, ranging from Sports Psychology to Educational Psychology, Psychology with Criminology, and the stand-alone Psychology course.

During their visit, students explored the university's campus and facilities, including specialised research labs equipped with state-of-the-art technology such as brain scans, eye tracking equipment, and observation labs. They engaged in enlightening conversations with faculty members and current students, gaining valuable insights into academic life and research opportunities.

A highlight of the day was witnessing experiment demonstrations within the psychology laboratories, which offered a first-hand look at the practical applications of psychological research.

The event concluded with a captivating presentation by a third-year student, offering a personal perspective on life at Edge Hill University and inspiring attendees with her experiences.

The day proved to be highly enjoyable for the students, and for some who had not previously considered attending university, it ignited new aspirations and possibilities for their future endeavours.
