Austria Ski Trip 2024

RSFC students travelled to the Austrian alps during the February half-term for a truly amazing ski trip. Conditions on the slopes were perfect for our beginner and intermediate skiers. All students made exceptional progress with their technical ski skills and had great fun in their quest to carve their way down the red and black slopes.   

The trip included six days of ski tuition in the popular and scenic resort of Kitzsteinhorn, Kaprun and Zell am See. The resort is nestled within the Glockner group of the High Tauern mountains of the Austrian Alps.  

Students loved the excellent 4 hours of skiing each day and savoured the mountain dining experience on the glacier.  

Trip highlights included: Skiing the ‘fun park’; Trip to the ‘Top of Salzburg’ viewing platform (3,029 metres above sea level); Ice hockey match between the local Austrian team ‘EKZ The Zell Polar bears’ and the Italian ‘S.G. Cortina Hafro’; Pizza night at a local restaurant; Quiz & games night and exploring the local resort.
