Carnegie Sports Experience Day at Leeds Beckett University 2024

On Friday 19 January, twenty PE students attended a Carnegie Sports Experience Day at Leeds Beckett University's Headingley campus. The trip comprised of three impactful workshops and an insightful tour of the campus, offering students a glimpse into the exciting world of sports.

The workshops covered diverse aspects of sports education, including Physical Education principles, understanding the scientific factors influencing athlete health and sports performance, and the intricacies of Sports Coaching. These sessions provided a unique opportunity for students to apply their A Level coursework in a practical setting, bridging the gap between theory and real-world application.

Beyond the workshops, the Headingley campus tour showcased the university's state-of-the-art facilities, giving students a firsthand look at the vibrant academic environment. Importantly, the event served as a window into the array of sports-related degrees offered by Leeds Beckett University, allowing students to make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures in the dynamic field of sports.
