Our Success Stories

Hana and Anusia completed their A-Levels at Rochdale Sixth Form College and, as a result of their hard work and dedication throughout their time with us were awarded the prestigious title of ‘Student of the Year’ in their respective years. Hana and Anusia share their experiences of studying at RSFC and identify some of the factors that make us that little bit ‘different’.


Hana Barzinji, who achieved four A*’s in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and The Extended Project Qualification went on to study Medicine at The University of Manchester. Hana was the first in her family to go to University. Here she tells us about her time at RSFC!

Anusia Battersby

After excelling in her English Literature, French, Religious Studies and Psychology A Levels; Anusia Battersby was the first ever student from Rochdale Sixth Form College to confirm a place at The University of Oxford. Here she tells us about her time at RSFC!

Rosie Rigby

Rosie joined RSFC from Hollingworth Academy with an excellent set of GCSE results. Having achieved outstanding results in French, Chemistry, Government and Politics and English Literature, she has now progressed to read French and German at The University of Oxford.

Jabed Miah

Jabed joined RSFC in 2014 from Falinge Park High School with a fantastic set of GCSE results. With a longstanding desire to pursue a career in Medicine, Jabed set his sights on achieving at the highest level to realise his dream. Jabed achieved outstanding results at RSFC and has now progressed to study Medicine at Imperial College, London.
