Rochdale Sixth Form College is celebrating another fantastic 99% A-Level pass rate and a 2% increase in A* and A grades; above the national average for the 6th year running.
The College has also received its best ever Oxbridge success with a 100% success rate from offers, with one student reading Archaeology at the University of Cambridge.
Martha Southall, just one of the students from the College heading off to Oxford University later this year having attained 3 A’s and 2 A*’s in Geography, English, Maths, Economics and her Extended Project Qualification, said: “I’m delighted with my results and looking forward to starting my student life in Oxford.”
Azeem Amir was overwhelmed with his results having attained 2 A*’s and a B, and is off to study Business Management at Salford University. As a footballer currently playing for the England Blind Development Squad and also part of the Emerging Talent Programme, he aspires to be an England international footballer by 2018, and to take part in the Tokyo Paralympics in 2020.
Azeem said: “I’m absolutely over the moon as these results are better than I expected. It really goes to show that hard work does pay off.”

Year on year we’re seeing more and more students heading off to Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities, which is very pleasing to see.”
