ONLINE LEARNING IS TAKING PLACE UNTIL AFTER HALF TERM
The government has announced a lockdown from 5 January until at least February half term. During this period, online learning will take place to the normal timetable. This is because of the rising Covid-19 infection rates and this will allow our college to prepare Covid-19 testing for the safe return of our students and staff.
Key changes:
- On 4 January students will work online to the normal timetable. A small number of students will work in the college building, if you are one of these students you will already have been contacted by your SPDL.
- For students and staff in college , guidance on testing for asymptomatic testing please visit Coronavirus (COVID-19) asymptomatic testing in schools and colleges - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
- All internal exams are cancelled to keep our students and staff safe during the current lockdown.
- Summer 2021 GCSE and A level examinations have now been cancelled, and they will be replaced by some form of teacher assessment grades. Exactly what this system will be, and how it will operate is yet to be determined; this will be the subject of a consultation over the next few weeks.
We will provide further information, including details of our mass Covid-19 testing plans, in due course.
