Progression to university is very high, with around 80% of students moving on to higher education, including some of the most prestigious Russell Group universities and world-renowned institutions including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the USA.
An increasing number of students successfully secured high-quality apprenticeships and employment in a wide range of fields, including Finance, Legal, Accounting, Engineering, and the Home Office.
Billal Iqbal is the college’s first student to be accepted into the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), having achieved an A* in maths, A in physics, A in computer science and an A* in the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Billal will be leaving Rochdale for the USA in a couple of days. He said ‘I’m relieved to have finally received my results and know that the hard work has been worth it. I’m excited to fly to America at the weekend – I had to book my flights early so had decided that if I didn’t get the grades I needed, I was just going to go on holiday!’

Having achieved a B in media studies, B in film studies and a C in computer science, Nikita was thrilled with his results and is looking forward to moving to Cambridge and commencing his employment over the coming weeks.
